ANLA Workshop 2016
The Alaska Native Language Archive is hosting a workshop on Digital Heritage Preservation for Alaska Native Libraries, Archives, and Museums, March 9-10. This two-day workshop will cover basic digitization planning, preservation, workflows, and project organization, as well as issues specific to Alaska Native languages and the Mukurtu Content Management system. Participants will learn best practices for digitizing documents, photographs, and audio recordings, as well as strategies for mobilizing these resources to make them more useful and accessible to patrons. Participants will work directly with demonstration materials, hardware, and software on site.
Accounts created for workshops will retain group membership, but will have other privileges removed (community and protocol management, digital heritage item creation). For extended access after attending a workshop, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
